Mara is a deathcore / beatdown hardcore band from northern California, formed in 2012.

MARA is not a new name to some in the California Hardcore scene. The band originally made it's debut after a late 2012 EP release titled "Sui Generis". After playing steady amounts of shows throughout 2013 and into the new year, MARA sets forth on the next step of the journey with a powerful new sound they bring forth both through live performance and in the studio. 2014 brings us to their latest record release set to debut nationwide November 4, 2014 (Digital), titled "What Keeps Us Standing".
The band carries quite an impact with them when portraying such real and raw emotions both musically and lyrically. Sounds such as metallic riffs and driving lyrics, fit to be a straight punch in the gut to both old school metal heads and punk/hardcore fans. Not
