Mercury Circle is a new band fronted by Swallow the Sun member Jaani Peuhu, and featuring among others the former Children of Bodom drummer Jaska Raatikainen. They play, quote, "dark rock infused with electrifying synth wave and slow, epic doom. Truly a genre of its own, the band is establishing their very own kind of “New Doom” – think Sisters Of Mercy and The Cult shaking hands with Depeche Mode and Cathedral"
As of 2021 they have released an EP The Dawn of Vitriol and a full length album Killing Moons.
