Messenger are a German traditional heavy metal band revolving around guitarist Patrik Deckarm. They formed and released their debut album Titanic Suicide in 1990, which was followed up with Asylum X-T-C in 1994.
Messenger then didn't release anything until 2000 when the EP Infected came out. The early naughties saw the band release a 2003 demo, Feel the Fire and then another EP, Kill The DJ!! By this time Patrik Deckarm was the only original member of the band remaining.
It was only in 2006 that Messenger released their third full-length album, Under the Sign, after a gap of twelve years since Asylum X-T-C. A shorter but still lengthy gap followed and the band released their fourth and most recent album See You in Hell in 2011. The album saw the band playing in more of a heavy power metal vein.
