Metalfolk (or メタルフォーク in Japanese) was a speed metal band from Japan. A side project of members of the thrash metal band Gargoyle with a different vocalist (Mitsuo Takeuchi), they seemed to exist as a parody of the Animetal project. Their debut single title translates to "Defeat! Animetal" and features an Animetal album being destroyed.
Metalfolk, which possibly should have been translated as Metalfork instead, released an album in 1998 and later disbanded.
