MISERIUM is a progressive metal band from Hungary. The band plays, “ progressive metal with hint of dark atmosphere, a touch of Gothenburg death metal riffing, some tainted with hard rock, funky, baroque and reggae influences”.
The band started out as a four piece. Szabi (Szabolcs Tari – guitars) got his degree as a guitarist, Álmos (Álmos Iványi – guitars) as tubist, Peti (Péter Tóth – drums) as a percussionist, all of them at the Liszt Academy of Music. Zsolt (Zsolt Renge - bass) attended a college of music and currently working with Peti at the Zugló Philharmonia – Szent István Király Symphony Orchestra and Oratorio Choir. Dávid Scheich joined the band in 2010 on vocals.
Miserium dates back to 2003 when Álmos decided to start a band. In 2009, Miserium recorded a five track demo at home and a two track promo in the Denevér Studio. By this time the
