"Moat Cobra consists currently of members of other local current and former Orlando bands such as Destructonomicon, Aella, and Motivated by Silence. The band was formed and solidified in the summer of 2013. The original bass player moved out of the country and the band continued as a three piece and started playing shows for a year without a bass player which lead to finding their current bass player. After another year the band split from the original drummer and found a replacement which is their current drummer. The band has played several shows with local bands in the heavy music scene in Orlando, such as Mindscar, bhavachakra, the Glorious Rebellion and sinkholes, as well as opening for national acts like High On Fire, KEN Mode, Child
