MUCC is a Japanese alternative metal band that was formed in 1997, and has been associated with the visual kai scene, although not as much as many of their contemporaries. MUCC's music typically flirts with elements from different genres, similar to the musical-chameleon and fellow country-mates Dir En Grey. MUCC has gained quite a following over the past decade, so much to the point of being signed by both Universal and Sony Music.
