Nihility0 is an avant-garde death metal band from Los Angeles in California, formed in 2007.

"Vin started Nihility0. The band name is like a "typical internet username with numbers". For a while it was an internet one-man band. All the songs on "The Nil EP" were created when Vin was a solo artist that wanted to hire musicians to help him play those songs live. In Autumn 2016, Nihility0 transitioned from being a solo artist to a band with a full line up with hopes of becoming a "collaborative songwriting" band, as Vin didn't want to write everything anymore. Nil, Apathy, and songs on The Nil EP are the last songs created by Vin. Newer material after that is meant to be cowritten. What started as a Brutal Death Metal project in a style inspired by artists like Defeated Sanity and Inveracity eventually blended elements of Melodic Death
