NOISZART is a progressive metal band from Bogotá in Colombia. Noiszart was formed in 2000 by members Camilo de La Cruz Pérez Sánchez (guitars,vocals),Fernando Caicedo Concha (keyboards),Leonardo Alvarado (guitar),Jorge Andrés Camargo (drums) and Luisa Pradilla Ángel (bass). In 2007 the band released their debut album, "A New Beginning".
In 2008 (February 10th) Noiszart contributed to an Iron Maiden (EMI Columbia) tribute album called The Golden Beast. Noiszart's contribution was a cover of Aces High.
Noiszart play progressive metal in the Dream Theater mold,but avoid the "clone" tag by infusing their music with elements of classical music,jazz and Colombian folk music,with lyrics dealing with social issues, mysticism, introspective personal experiences and ecological issues.
