Olm is a sludge metal band from Aarhus in Denmark.
"Olm is heavy Danish sludge / doom metal, anchored in our fascination with contrasts; the heaviest riffs with growling vocals for atmospheric sound images.
The trio Olm plays heavy Danish-language sludge-metal spiced with atmospheric sound images and hard-hitting riffs and breakdowns. Threads are drawn for Black Sabbath, Crowbar, Armed for Appocalyspe, Opeth, Gojira, Morbid Angel, Metallica, Slayer, Devin Townsend / Strapping Young Lad, Queen and Pink Floyd.
The music is characterised by the band's fascination of contrasts, therefore the musical expression from the heaviest and hardest riffs with growling Danish-language vocals to floating, grandiose and atmospheric sound images.
Olm consists of Ulrik on drums, Ritter on bass and Morten on vocals and guitar. The band is based in Aarhus.
Ulrik has a long background in thrash metal, Ritter comes with a background from the old school metal, and Morten from progressive metal / rock and groove
