The band was created in the dark autumn of 1997 by Thomas Hellord Ahlgren and Oskar W when their old project "End” went to eternal sleep. First member to be recruited was Patrik Magnusson (ex. drums) and after that Karl W (vocals) and Zane (bass) joined. The first gig took place in 1998 at a music contest in Lund. On keyboards Pandemonium used David J Länne. The gig gave good response and people became familiar with pandemonium for the very first time. In the spring of 1998 the first demo ("Emotions...”) was recorded and the band started building a name in the scene. In the autumn of 1998 the band recorded their first MCD ("...to Apeiron”) and the first keyboard player to become a permanent member of the band was Erik Odsell. The spring followed with several gigs and positive reactions in the press.
