Newcastle-based thrash metal band Pariah could trace it's roots back to 1979 and NWoBHM heroes Satan. Satan released two well received albums, in 1983 and 1987, as well as an album under the name Blind Fury in 1985.
Pariah released two albums in the 1980s, before the band splintered, with guitarist Steve Ramsey and bassist Graeme English leaving to form Skyclad. Pariah reformed in 1997, and recorded another album, split again, then reformed again as Satan in 2004, and again as Satan in 2011.
