Paris was a brief project between former members of Fleetwood Mac, Jethro Tull and The Nazz. Keeping this in mind, one would've never expected this unholy marriage to result in a solid and dark Zeppelinesque hard rock album. Furthermore, there's an unmistakeable darkness to the material here with mysticism clearly at the fore. Considering what came before and what followed after the band's dissolution a few years later, it's quite amazing. The album was reissued briefly in 2001 and has since gone out of print again. Fear not! Take a glimpse of what happens when you put musicians from opposite ends of the musical spectrum together. Sometimes we find out that what we thought we knew was totally off the mark. Paris illustrates this in spades. Try it out. You just might like it.
