Dickie Peterson was the lead singer of early metal/hardrock and heavy blues act Blue Cheer. In 1998 he released the album "Child of Darkness" which was heavily inspired by early heavy metal and early doom metal. He passed away in October, 2009, a victim of liver- and prostate cancer.
