Pica Fierce was a technical thrash metal band formed in 1999 in Kristiansund, Norway. The band consisted of Oystein Haltbakk (vocals, guitar), Kjetil Dyrnes (guitar), Hallgeir Kjongo (bass) and Eirik Roksvag (drums).
Pica Fierce released three demos before they self-released their self-titled debut album in 2007.
In 2008, Pica Fierce won the Norwegian Wacken Metal Battle and appeared at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
Pica Fierce featured shredding rhythms and intricate drumming patterns. They incorporated many metal genres into their sound, including black, death, doom, heavy, and thrash using choirs, screaming and melodic vocals, distorted and disharmonic melodies, and excellent guitar solos.
