Posehn is the metal band fronted by stand-up comedian and metal nerd Brian Posehn.
Best known for his comedy and acting, including the recurring role of Bert in The Big Bang Theory, Posehn grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and was actively involved in the famous Bay Area scene in the 1980s, which saw the rise of many of the major players in the thrash scene. Posehn has often used his metal fandom in his stand-up comedy routines.
He first ventured into the world of metal music in 2006, with two musical tracks included on his debut stand-up album "Nerd Rage". His second album "Fart and Wiener Jokes" featured two more tracks, including a cover of Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler".
Posehn and his band finally released a full musical album in 2020, with "Grandpa Metal".
