Project Ruins was a multinational deathcore / melodic metalcore band based in Leeds in Yorkshire, England, formed in 2006.

"The project essentially began around 2006 when musician David Beaumont decided to write a series of metal songs, with the aim of playing them in a full time touring band. Unfortunately, after taking on a Sound Engineering degree there were various time constraints and it was not possible to do this. An academic project was then drawn up to see how how advances in technology and software have allowed musicians to successfully record and collaborate from different locations. Responses to the idea were immediate with artists from 11 different countries in 5 different continents all expressing an interest in recording. Eventually, a group of exceptionally talented musicians were selected to record and produce what was the groups debut album. The band released their debut album on iTunes in Fall 2009"
