PURITY is a metalcore band from Riverside, California. Purity was born mid 2003 with founding members Neil (Guitar) & Chris (Bass) Ballard, cousins with one main focus in life...music. After spending 3 and a half years auditioning musicians, Purity found the right gears, nuts and bolts to run this machine smoothly. First to fall in line was drummer Jon Lamers in July of '05; instantly a "click" was formed and from then on writing was inevitable. Soon after, thanks to an ad online and an instrumental song recorded with Jon's brother (Breakthru Recording) Purity happened to have an aspiring vocal front man enter the picture, Jason Gallo. Formerly the bassist of Thirteen Scars Jason looked to broaden his horizons and extend his vocals capabilities that followed with his bass playing in Thirteen Scars.
