Questioner is a progressive metal / post-metal band from Baltimore in Maryland.
Questioner was formed back in 2005 as Isthmus by Noel Mueller (guitars, vocals) and Chris May (drums). The band took some time to shape up though, eventually adding a Matt Hogans on guitars in 2007 and Joe Kienle on bass guitar.
Isthmus released its debut EP, Of Crimson Clouds in Nectaris Milk in 2007. Their full-length debut, Land Bridge, was released in August 2008.
Isthmus recruited a third guitarist, James Gilmore, and replaced the departing bassist Joe Kienle with Wayne Courtright, before changing their name to Questioner in 2010. They released a self-titled album under their new name in the July of the same year.
