Red Herring is a progressive sludge metal / doom metal band from Greenville in South Carolina, formed in summer 2009. Most of the band members met at school.
Inspiations include Mastodon, Norma Jean, Dream Theater, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Between the Buried and Me, The Sword, Lamb of God, Pelican, Baroness, Clutch, and so on.
