Red Paper Dragon was a post sludge metal / post rock band from the South-West of England, formed in 2005 by Bunney (vocals, guitars), Oliver (guitars, vocals), Adam (guitars, vocals), Neill (bass) and Kev (drums).
The band started recording its first release in January 2006. The 42 minutes of length EP entitled "Songs of Innocence" was released in 2007 through Sound Devastation. The EP was well received and drew comparisons to bands such as Isis, Aereogramme and Explosions in the Sky. Songs Of Innocence was followed in 2009 by Red Paper Dragon’s second EP, The North Star.
Red Paper Dragon toured alongside The Pirate Ship and Blueneck, and shared the stage with Russian Circles, Trevor Dunn (Fantômas/Mr. Bungle), Crapicorns, Lair of the Minotaur, Isan and An Emergency.
Red Paper Dragon split up in March 2009.
