Residue is a doom metal / sludge metal band from Birmingham in Alabama, formed in 2000.
"The roots of this band can be traced as far back as 1993 when John and Andrew first began collaborating in different projects around the Birmingham,Alabama scene. With the addition of Matt on bass, Residue was formed in 2000. Vintage guitar-tone dirges and subtle-spacey jams are the primary textures of the band. Everyone in the band has had extensive experience in various projects in the past, but Residue is the culminating point in musical and personal chemistry."
