Revolting Cocks (RevCo) is a an industrial metal/rock band with it's origins going back to 1985.
In late 1984, Belgian industrial band Front 242 opened for Ministry in Chicago. Al Jourgensen then asked Richard23 to produce a dub remix project. On returning to Belgium, Richard23 discussed the project with Luc van Acker (session guitarist for gothic industrial band Shriekback). Van Acker then contacted Jourgensen, and the Revolting Cocks were born.
The band's name came from an incident that took place in a Chicago bar. According to van Acker and Jourgensen, the band was trying out "insulting French expressions" on a waiter, ordering something they said meant "revolting cock" which led the waiter to say, "You are revolting cocks!"
The band's line-up has never been particularly stable. Richard23 quit in 1986 after falling out with Jourgensen, while various members of Ministry have also been in and out of the band. The band has also
