Riktus was a French metalcore band from Thionville in Lorraine, formed in 1999.
Riktus disbanded in 2011.

RIKTUS has been created in 1999 by FRANZ, FLO and MITCH. VINCH and ZACH entered the band few time later. The band plays aggressive and structured metal music. February 2001, RIKTUS records their first demo, it gives them a name in the region, and gives them the possibility to find a lot of gigs in their county, but also in Luxembourg and Belgium. Two years later, February 2003 the band recordsx his 2nd demo at KULTURFABRIK in Luxembourg in the headquarter's band dEFDUMp. 1000 copies pressed. In 2005, RIKTUS records their 1st album called DEGENERATION. Recorded and mixed by Philippe MATGE and Dirk MECHTEL at KULTURFABRIK in Luxembourg. Mastering by Alan DOUCHES at WESTWESTSIDE Music, New York.1000 copies pressed and distributed by Season of Mist in 2006.
