Roots Of Pain is a metalcore / melodic metalcore band from Cosenza in Italy, formed in 2007.
Influences include Parkway Drive, In flames, Caliban, Lamb of God and The Sorrow.

Roots of Pain was born in 2007 from an idea of Martino (bass), Stefano (guitar) and Marco (guitar).
After several changes of line-up, a demo/ep, many gigs in the nearbies of Parma, and after compositions created and abandoned at each change of line-up, at the end of 2010 they decided to temporarily stop to clear it.
In the 2011, with the arrival of Simone (drums), Roots of Pain felt to be on the right track and while looking for a voice to represent them, they began to write new songs.
At the beginning of 2012, with the arrival of Antonio, the quintet found the right mix of melodic death, hardcore and thrash metal they had always looked for and they were finally complete.
