Salamandra is a power metal band from the Czech Republic, formed in 1998 by guitarist Pavel Sliva. They play a brand of melodic power metal with strong symphonic influences. The band released their debut in 1999, titled Twilight of Legends, which was a conceptual work. They released two more albums with original singer Dalibor "Panther" Halamíček: Skarremar in 2000 and Great Moravian Elegies in 2004. In 1999 they also recorded a cover of the Helloween classic "Judas", as part of a VA compilation titled The Eastern Tribute to Helloween, which only featured bands from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
With their second singer Ivan Borovský they released Faces of Chimera in 2007 and Time to Change in 2010. Finally, with their third and current singer Jan "Hosta" Bernátek, they released their 6th full length album in 2014, titled Imperatus.
