Seven Tears is a progressive metal act from Sweden. The band started in the early 00s when Jonathan Carlemar and Fredrik Lager, influenced by such bands as Helloween and Hammerfall, decided to form a band, then called "Demonslave". The band changed name to "Atlantica" in 2005 to finally become known as Seven Tears in 2006. Their music is a blend of so-called vanilla progressive metal and power metal.
Current line-up consists of Jonathan Carlemar (guitars), Fredrik Lager (bass), Kristofer von Wachenfeldt (keyboards) and Michael Sjöö (drums).
