Shell Shock was a hardcore punk / crossover thrash band from New Orleans in Louisiana, active between 1979 and 1988.
In 1988 Shell Shock disbanded after the suicide of band member Mike "Hatch-Boy" Hatch. The band regrouped in 1988 as Aftershock.

After disbanding, Aftershock changed its name to Wrequiem (1989), and then to Slugs.
