Skald is a two-man Folk Metal project consisting of Henrik Kindvall and David Wiktorsson. The group originally formed in 2005 and were greatly inspired by the Folk Metal act; OTYG. The band released two demos in 2006; "Sagor från skogstjärnen", and "Trolska Vemodsband". These releases saw the band putting out a traditionanal folk metal sound. In the year 2008, the band were signed to Unexploded Records. In the same year they released the EP; "I En Svunnen Tid", followed by "Fjällälven" in 2010. The year 2011 saw the group drifting away from their Folk Metal style, to a more Dark and atmospheric direction with the release of their first full-legnth album; "Vitterland". The group remains active to this day.
