SKEWED SKIES is an instrumental progressive metal project by guitarist Andreas Mades from Mainz, Germany. The music is completely instrumental and combines death metal riffing with math rock and experimental passages.
Andreas started playing the guitar around the age of 12. He had acoustic guitar lessons for 3 years, and then switched to electric guitar for another 3 years. He was never really that keen on practicing and eventually stopped playing. Fortunately in 2003 he was asked to be part of a band that later took the name GODFORSAKEN, which finally got him interested in playing guitar and writing music himself. Godforsaken´s EP is still out there in the depths of the web.
After Godforsaken had split up, Andreas along with the bass player and singer of Godforsaken (now on drums) spent three years practicing, writing and evolving. Various guest musicians frequently joined and left. The new band never
