Slash's Snakepit was an on-off, on and off again band led by Slash of Guns N' Roses fame first between 1993–1995 and later between 1998–2002 with different bandmembers.
The first incarnation of the band was formed to jam on and record some of Slash's demos meant for the next Guns album, which Axl had rejected. Joining him were Guns bandmates Matt Sorum and Gilby Clarke, as well as the Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez and singer Eric Dover, formerly of Jellyfish. This line-up recorded the album It's Five O'Clock Somewhere (1995) and went on tour with James LoMenzo and Brian Tichy replacing Inez and Sorum respectively. The record company pulled their financial support of the tour midway through, forcing the band to return home and Slash to re-join Guns N' Roses.
After Slash's exit from the Guns, he toured with a cover band called Slash's Blues Ball, which was later remodeled
