Something Weird is a stoner/doom metal band from Morehead, Kentucky.
From the band's Facebook page: Something Weird has its origins from Alex Parkansky (Sweet Country Meat Boys) and Mike Cooper (Old One) being friends since middle school and jamming in various bands. They started playing together in 1999 and have been jamming on and off again ever since. Alex went his way in college with the psychedelic/stoner outfit Sun Street and post-psych Sweet Country Meat Boys, and Mike took off with the stoner doom outfit Old One. In late 2019, circumstances and fate brought them together again, and they decided to revive their music into a new project. Shared by a united bond of psychedelia, b-movie horror, a goofy sense of humor, and a cosmic musical connection, they bring you Something Weird.
