Son of Aurelius is a technical/progressive death metal band from Santa Cruz, California, formed in 2009. Their music is a modern sounding technical death metal with neoclassical and deathcore elements with both shrieked and growled vocals. Roman mythology, as a lyrical theme, runs through all songs in their debut album entitled "The Farthest Reaches". The record was released in 2010.
Current line-up consists of Max Zigman(Bass), Spencer Edwards(Drums), Cary Geare(Lead Guitars), Ezra Bettencourt(Guitars) and Riley McShane(Vocals).
