The story of Soulsik begins in the summer of 2009 with John Miller and Brent Robertson. After three months of rehearsing and writing, it brought forth a short list of songs to get started with. Soulsik's official debut show was November 24, 2009 at the Rock House with good friends I-Exist and Presomnia.
A four-piece outfit at the tme, Soulsik didn't have a full-time bassist; in January of 2010 attained Tim Barrie as the full-time bassist. From that point came a string of crucial shows, playing with national recording artists Five Finger Death Punch, Taproot, Flaw, Parabelle, Dirge Within, as well as regional touring bands XFactor1 (OH), Pulse8 (KY), Saturate (TX), Inimical Drive (MO), Curse Icon (OH), Krimsha (Ft. Wayne, IN), and many local brethren.
