SOUNDGEIST is a progressive metal band from Heraklion, Crete, Greece. The band was formed in May 2004, originally as DEVIL'S INTERVAL, with Emmanuel Zografakis (guitars) and Antreas Anastopoulos (bass) as the founding member. Panagiotis Mavrakis (drums) soon hooked up, and the trio started rehearsing and writing material shortly after. Towards the end of the year they got the chance to perform live, and as they needed a second guitarist to make that happen this lead to the short term addition of Emmanuel Fazos (guitars) to their ranks.
Early in 2005 Devil's Interval decided that keyboards rather than a second guitar would suit their exploits better, so rather than finding a permanent second guitarist Eleni Almpantaki (keyboards) joined the band, although she was soon after replaced by Stelios Kanitsakis (keyboards).
