Spiderbait is an Australian alternative rock/grunge band from Finley, NSW, formed in 1989. The band is known for not sticking to one genre, and their albums often span a wide variety of musical styles. There will be several different kinds of metal, electronic, rock, pop, and other genres all on the same album. Their first album however, Shashavaglava, is consistently an alt metal album with elements of funk metal and post-hardcore.
While relatively obscure elsewhere, Spiderbait is among the most popular rock bands in their home country/continent.
