Strange Hobby was a project by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Arjen Anthony Lucassen consisting of covers of songs that had influenced him. A self-titled album was released in 1996. Strange Hobby was a mystery project, as the album booklet contained no line-up information about who was responsible for it.
Strange Hobby has been included on the MMA as a Metal Related artist in reference to Arjen Anthony Lucassen's contributions to the progressive metal genre with artists such as Ayreon, Star One, and Guilt Machine.
