Death/grind band Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition was formed Paris, France, at the end of 1996, with all members having previous experience in other bands of a similar style. Unusually, the band did not write lyrics until 2006, with vocals just consisting of growls and screams
Their first recording was a split with fellow French grinders Infected Pussy in 1997, which gained the attention of Bones Brigade Records.
Bones Brigade saw the band release a split CD with Brazil’s Rot in 1998, and then record their debut self-titled full length album two years later. The album featured no song titles, as well as no lyrics. The next release was a split EP with Brazil’s Lymphatic Phlegm in 2001.
Osmose Productions then signed the band and released their second full-length album, "II" in 2003. A full US tour followed, but saw two members leave the band.
Relapse picked up Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition and released a split
