The Greedies was a short-lived hard rock / punk rock supergroup between members of Thin Lizzy and the Sex Pistols, formed in 1978.
Originally called The Greedy Bastards, The Greedies played three shows in Ireland and four in London. The Greedies had a rotating line-up that included Thin Lizzy stalwarts Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham and Gary Moore, Chris Spedding, and Steve Jones and Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols.
The band was Lynott's idea, driven by an interest in punk and a lack of activity from Thin Lizzy. The band only had one release; the Christmas single, A Merry Jingle.
