The Modern Prometheus is a melodic deathcore band from Fullerton in California, formed in 2011.

"The band was founded in 2011 by members Rodolfo Calderon, Robert DeVito, and David Vasquez, and later joined Allen Vannordstrand and Jimmy Steedman. After many local shows and pre-production in the studio in 2011, The Modern Prometheus parted ways with vocalist Jimmy Steedman only to pick up experienced vocalist Tommy McCarthy. After re-writing EP with the new vocalist, The Modern Prometheus finished up their first album in June of 2012 and put it up for free download in July 2012 on their Reverbnation page. The Modern Prometheus is currently unsigned, in high hopes of joining a record label soon here after."
