The Parallax is a four-piece melodic progressive death metal band from Mississauga in Toronto, Canada formed in 2012.
"Our talent is exhibited through our lengthy, heavy, yet catchy songs that we spent time perfecting for the benefit of our live shows. Our technical/progressive guitar riffs are coupled with the heavy rhythm sections of the drums and bass. It's topped off with warm melodic keyboards. This creates music that separates us from other bands.
We are all very close friends who enjoy having fun, while at the same time take our craft seriously to ensure that we create good music and get to play together for the rest of our lives.
We have been fortunate to share the stage with acts such as Protest The Hero, Intervals, Ever Forthright and so on"
