The Water Is Rising is a metalcore band from Douglas, Isle of Man formed in 2011.
Influences include Periphery, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage, We Butter the Bread with Butter, Lamb of God and Opeth amongst others.

"The Water is Rising are a five piece metal band from the Isle of Man. Made up of members from now defunct acts Fist of Cain, Romero, Leagues and Durgan Mortice, we formed with the intention of writing songs that we really wanted to hear. From out-and-out brutal metal with a technical bent to melodic, progressive seven minute opuses, we eschew traditional song structure in favour of starting with an idea and seeing where the hell it ends up. After a couple of early personnel changes, the right lineup finally came together.
