Today Is The Day is a noise rock / hardcore punk / sludge metal / post-sludge / grindcore / avant-garde metal band from Nashville in Tennessee, formed in 1992.
The main member of this group is guitarist/vocalist Steve Austin, who is the only founding member remaining. Austin co-founded the band with drummer Brad Elrod in the early 90s. The rest of the group is a revolving door of members. Some of the more notable musicians that have performed with Today Is The Day are Bill Kelliher and Brann Dailor (both of Mastodon) and drummer Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal, Nile, among others).
