Tracedawn are a Finnish melodic death metal band. Formed in 2005 by guitarist/vocalist Tuomas Yli-Jaskari under the name of Moravia, by 2007 they had changed their name to Tracedawn.
With a line-up that included two guitarists as well as a keyboard player they recorded a demo titled “Path Of Reality”. A deal with Redhouse Finland music publishing led to their eponymous debut album being released in 2008. Their second album, “Ego Anthem” and a single, “In Your Name” quickly followed in 2009. A European tour followed supporting Ensiferum and Stratovarius after which vocalist Antti Lappalainen left the band. He was replaced by former Amoral vocalist Niko Kalliojarvi.
A third album, “Lizard Dusk” and the “Arabian Nights” EP were released in 2012.
