Triarchy hailed from Kent, and released their first single, "Save the Khan" in 1979. They played at the Red Lion, a leading venue in that part of England.
In 1980, Radio Free London, a pirate station, gave the band their first airplay, with the song "Wheel of Samsara".
A follow-up single, "Metal Messiah" appeared later that year, and other songs were recorded, but the band split up in 1983 without securing any major hits, and narrowly missing out on appearing on the "Kent Rocks" compilation.
A retrospective CD was compiled and eventually released as "Before Your Very Ears" in 1995 in a run of 1000 copies, which was again re-issued in 2007 as "Live to Fight Again", limited to 500 copies on clear vinyl and featuring two bonus songs.
