Trust is a French hard rock and heavy metal band, whose music has also drawn on punk rock. The group released their debut album, a self-titled that quickly became known as L'Élite, in 1979.
The band were originally active between 1977-1984 and have split and reformed several times since, releasing a total of eleven studio albums, counting both the French and English versions of several of their albums as separate releases. Their line-up has always revolved around guitarist Norbert "Nono" Krief and vocalist Bernard "Bernie" Bonvoisin.
Despite their long career, the band are perhaps best known in the international hard rock and metal scene for featuring Clive Burr and Nicko McBrain, drummers of Iron Maiden fame, in their line-up at points during the early eighties. The American thrash metal band Anthrax have additionally covered the Trust songs Antisocial and Les Sectes.
