Tura Satana was an American rap metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1993 as Manhole. After releasing their debut album as Manhole in 1996, the band had to change their name for legal reasons. They chose to rename themselves after the actress Tura Satana. The band released one studio album under this name and reissued their debut as Manhole under the new band name, then broke up shortly after. Frontwoman Tairrie B. would go on to form groove/heavy metal band My Ruin.
