UNOMA is a progressive rock / progressive metal project by Fidel Vázquez Sanglas from Barcelona, Spain.
The first release from Unoma was the album Croma in 2003 which contained songs created some years earlier (between 1997 and 2001). The album draws influences from such bands as Rush, Dream Theater, King Crimson and Jeff Beck.
Fidel then devoted his energies for the next three years almost exclusively to the symphonic rock band Negua, until the death of his father motivated him to revisit Unoma. This time, he decided to focus his work on more energetic and contemporary sounds influenced by current bands of the time such as Tool, Opeth and Pain Of Salvation. The result is "The beginning of the end", a nine track album released in 2007.
After "The beginning of the end", Unoma evolved from a one-man project into a full band.
