Usurpress is a Swedish death metal / crust band, formed in Uppsala May 2010.
The musical aim of founding members Steffe (vocals), Påhl(guitar) and Calle (drums) was, and still is, to combine the bestiality of old death metal and the undying hate of true hardcore/punk. We call our music “death crust” as we write short, aggressive songs built on wierd, dissonant death metal riffs and raw, primitive d-beat drumming.
