Venereal Disease is a goregrind band from Spain. The band mixes grindcore with many other genres including punk and hardcore.
The band formed in 2001, featuring Iker "Coprophagus" Núñez (also vocalist for Necrolust) and drummer Christian Impaler.
Coprophagus and Christian began writing some material in late 2001, and brought in bassist Moreta and two guitarists, Jorge Rivas (Forensick, Necrolust) and Grindfection. This line up recorded a five track, 10 minute promo, followed by a well received split with Gorehog.
Several more releases followed, securing the band an international audience. Venereal Disease then suffered some line-up changes, before emerging with their 2003 debut album "Mondo Macabre" in 2003.
The band has continued to release splits with the likes of Mixomatosis, Poisoned Skrotum, Lunatic Asylum and grind scene stalwarts Agathocles.
Coprophagus died in 2008, aged 29. A second full length album was scheduled for 2009 but did not eventuate.
